The table below shows - in descending date order - any comments sent out to the membership to accompany the results.
The Club raised £190 (this) week for Children in Need.
Many of the boards were played in the wrong order by the wrong People! Scoring has been "difficult". It is amazing that no-one noticed any problems!
I have taken the travellers as showing the correct score against the pairs shown on them not the pairs indicated on the computer
Hopefully they are a fair reflection of the play this afternoon
Table 6 wrote out the table slip and afterwards switched the N/S pair to E/W and vice versa. I mistakenly assumed that N/S were the pair at the top of the table slip. This happened a couple of weeks ago and I did ask that a new table slip be prepared, not just the numbers changed when this switch is made.
Congratulations to this weeks joint winners: N/S Ann Hunt and Jane Bentley, and E/W Linda Seymour and Irene Mamelok. Both pairs scored 64.29%. Christine Love and Mike Wood were hot on their heels and managed the only slams of the afternoon so well done to them. Also, an early reminder of our Strawberry tea on 20th June. Please arrive early enough to start play at 1pm. Regards, John Court
I attach amended results for yesterday.
This occurred because there were changes to the movement before the start and the table slips were amended by changing the pair numbers but not the position of the N/S and E/W players on the table slip which I missed.
Please if in future pair numbers are changed at the beginning of play tear up the old table slip and fill out a new one.
Please note that board 3 has not been scored as clearly at some stage the cards had been returned to the board wrongly.
Anna Gudge of Ecatsbridge (Children in Need) was delighted with our £190 - thanks all club members.
